A Door Opens: Our First Published Feature

Today, Midnight Cathedral has its first published feature.

Halloween Love, an online home for horror and Halloween storytelling since 2009, ran the story under the title "From a Plastic Dracula Mask to Midnight Cathedral." Written by our creator, it traces the whole arc — a childhood costume, a love of vampires, a novel series, and the theatrical gothic-metal production rising out of all of it — now carried by a publication with its own readers and its own long history in the horror world.

For a long while, the story of Midnight Cathedral lived only where we told it. Now a publication with no stake in us decided it was worth carrying to its own readers — while we're still deep in the work of preparing our debut performances. The story found an audience before the stage did.

The article covers where this all came from and where it's going: the books behind it, Banners of the Crimson Fist, and the production we're building toward — twelve original songs and dramatic narration, aimed at a first run of Georgia performances in 2027. If you've wondered what Midnight Cathedral actually is, it's a good place to start.

We won't retell it here. It's better in full, in the place that chose to run it.

Our thanks to Black, the editor of Halloween Love, for taking an interest in our story and giving it a home. It means a great deal this early in the journey, and we won't forget the door that was held open for us.

Read the feature on Halloween Love. Then step back through our own door and watch what comes next.

There's more coming.
