PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: October 28, 2026

Midnight Cathedral ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you visit https://www.midnight-cathedral.com/ (the "Website").

This policy applies to information collected through the Website and its associated features. It does not replace the privacy policies of third-party websites or services you may access through links on our Website.

1. Information We May Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the Website and which features you choose to access.

Information You Provide

The Website currently collects information you provide through two forms:

  • Newsletter signup (in the site footer). When you choose to subscribe, you provide your email address and indicate your consent to receive Midnight Cathedral updates.

  • Booking and general inquiries (on the booking page). When you contact us about a performance, appearance, or booking, you may provide your name, email address, your organization, venue, or professional role, and the contents of your message.

Across these forms, the information you may provide includes your name, email address, organization or venue details where relevant, and any other information you voluntarily include in a message or inquiry.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for your inquiry.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Website, Wix and any enabled third-party tools may automatically collect certain technical or usage information, such as:

  • IP address and general device or browser information.

  • Operating system and technical identifiers.

  • Pages visited, referring websites, and interactions with the Website.

  • Approximate location derived from technical information.

  • Cookie identifiers and other information used for site functionality, security, or analytics.

The information actually collected depends on the Website's configuration, the services enabled, and your browser settings.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through the Website to:

  • Respond to messages, inquiries, and requests.

  • Evaluate performance, venue, festival, convention, and other booking inquiries.

  • Provide information about our music, creative projects, merchandise, and performances.

  • Send requested updates or promotional communications where applicable and permitted by law.

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website.

  • Understand general Website usage and performance, where analytics tools are enabled.

  • Prevent misuse, investigate technical issues, and protect our rights.

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not intend to use information for purposes materially different from those described in this policy without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by applicable law.

3. Email Communications

When you subscribe through the newsletter signup form in our footer, you provide your email address and consent to receive Midnight Cathedral updates. We use the Wix email tools to manage our subscriber list and to send you a welcome email and periodic updates about our music, performances, and related news.

Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may unsubscribe at any time using that link, which removes you from our mailing list, or by contacting us through the email below. We may still send messages necessary to respond to an inquiry or complete a request you have made.

Sending us a general contact or booking inquiry does not by itself subscribe you to our mailing list. We add you to the list only when you choose to sign up and confirm your consent through the signup form.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Website is hosted on Wix, which uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function, including cookies that support security, basic performance, and essential features. Wix also provides built-in, first-party analytics that help us understand general Website usage.

We do not currently run a separate cookie consent banner or third-party advertising cookies on the Website. If we later add nonessential cookies or similar technologies (for example, a third-party analytics or marketing integration), we will use an appropriate consent mechanism where applicable law requires one.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Website functionality.

5. Wix and Third-Party Service Providers

Wix provides the platform on which the Website operates and processes information as necessary to provide its services, including website hosting, built-in site analytics, form submissions, and our email newsletter tools. Information you submit through our forms and our subscriber list are handled within Wix.

The Website also links out to independent services that operate under their own privacy policies, including:

  • Music streaming and video hosting platforms (for embedded players).

  • Social media platforms.

  • Our merchandise store and its payment processing, which are handled by a third-party store provider.

  • Fundraising and voting websites.

When you follow a link to one of these outside services or complete a transaction there, that service collects and processes your information under its own privacy policy. We do not currently use third-party website-analytics, advertising, or retargeting providers on the Website itself. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services before submitting information or completing a transaction with them.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not run advertising or retargeting trackers on the Website.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: To providers that help operate, maintain, secure, or support the Website and related services, such as Wix (hosting, forms, and our email newsletter tools).

  • Your requests: When you ask us to connect you with a venue, event organizer, seller, or other party, where sharing is appropriate to fulfill your request.

  • Legal requirements: When disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

  • Protection of rights: When reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Midnight Cathedral, our visitors, or others.

  • Business changes: In connection with a relevant organizational restructuring or transfer, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

If we later enable a third-party technology that could be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising disclosure under certain privacy laws, we will update this policy and provide any opt-out mechanism that applicable law requires.

7. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, maintain relevant records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Retention periods vary according to the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

Much of the Website's security depends on our hosting and service providers, including Wix. We and our providers use reasonable measures intended to help protect information, but no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict particular processing activities.

You may also have the right to withdraw consent, opt out of certain targeted advertising or personal-information sharing, or appeal a decision concerning a privacy request where applicable law provides those rights.

To exercise an applicable right, email us at midnightcathedralpresents@gmail.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity and the scope of your request before responding.

We will process valid requests in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any privacy rights that the law grants you.

9. Children's Privacy

This Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Website.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in circumstances where collection was not appropriate, please contact us so that we can review the matter and take any steps required by law.

10. Links to Other Websites

The Website may link to social media platforms, music services, online stores, ticketing providers, and other external websites.

Those services operate independently and have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for how third parties collect or use information on their platforms.

Links to external merchandise stores, fundraising services, and voting websites take visitors to services governed by those providers' own privacy policies and transaction terms. Visitors should review those policies before submitting personal or payment information to an outside service.

The Website links to three separate giving or participation destinations, each run by a different organization under its own terms: (1) the Starlight Children's Foundation, a children's charity; (2) the Face of Halloween contest, which offers free voting with optional donations under the contest organizer's terms; and (3) Midnight Cathedral's own production fundraising. These are distinct. Supporting Midnight Cathedral's production fundraising is not a donation to the Starlight Children's Foundation and is not a tax-deductible charitable contribution unless a specific destination states otherwise.

11. Visitors Outside the United States

The Website is operated in the United States. Depending on the services used and the location of visitors, personal information may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers or provides additional privacy rights, we will address those requirements as applicable to our activities.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Website, services, information practices, or applicable legal requirements.

Any revisions will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

13. Contact Us

For privacy questions or requests concerning personal information, email midnightcathedralpresents@gmail.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.

We may need information sufficient to verify and respond to the request as applicable law permits.
